This is a new vest at a very affordable price with all the function of a vest costing twice as much. Deep Pressure Vests can be highly beneficial to some children with autism, sensory processing disorder, ADHD and other neurological disorders. Based on the sensory integration technique of deep pressure providing the child with unconscious information from the muscles and the joints, the added pressure may help the child calm down and better integrate sensory information. As a result, the child may become more organized, and improve in their ability to concentrate on play, learning or eating. This vest is made from 2mm neoprene, "adjustable" sizing with Velcro closures. This particular vest fits extra small to large sizes. (See chart below). This is our basic vest to make them affordable to parents who may not otherwise be able to provide a vest for their child . These are two piece vests with the front and back sections attached by Velcro. The entire back piece in velcro lined neoprene for greater size variation. The rear of the vest will be black velcro regardless of the color chosen for the front piece. We use a "hook and loop" Velcro for a strong lasting connection. Available in Aqua,Burgundy,Black or Cobalt Blue. The neoprene foam facing/backing is 100% polyester or Nylon, the fill is100% styrene.

The concept of the weighted vest is based on the sensory integration therapy technique of deep pressure. Deep pressure is often used to assist the child to self-calm and relax so that sensory stimuli can be processed. The use of a weighted vest provides the child with unconscious information from the muscles and joints. This Weighted Vest comes in 4 sizes and is designed with both side and shoulder openings allowing great flexibility in size adjustments. The weight sets consist of 1/4 lb., 1/2 lb. or 1 lb. The weight packets are contained within pockets inside the vest. These vests are 100% cotton or denim and double stitched for strength and come in a variety of colors and patterns.
